Gus Hansen running strong - Up almost $2 million this year

Gus Hansen’s downswing seems to be over for now. He is the biggest winner in the past 24 hours and almost 2 million dollars up for the year ($1,8 million to be exact).

One needs to remember that this is not Hansen’s first time when he starts the year really strong, Two years ago he won over 2,2 million dollars in the first two months and last year he was up $1,8 million in February.

Hansen’s good start for the year has nearly always gone downhill after February.

In 2009 he lost nearly 8 million dollars from March to December and last year he lost almost $3 million in the same period.

Can he keep up the good pace this time? Let’s see.

Apart from Hansen there are a few other players who have made good results this year as well: Di “Urindanger” Dang is up $1,6M and Patrik Antonius is up a million dollars. The biggest loser so far is “NEKOTYAN” (-$873K) who has played only 4 sessions this year.
