Ivey admits: “IHateJuice” is better in Limit Hold’em

Many people consider Phil Ivey to be the best poker player, but now Phil Ivey admits to “IHateJuice” that he is inferior in Limit Hold’em.

Just recently Ivey and “IHateJuice” had a session in $2k/$4k Limit Hold’em. The session ended in Ivey’s small $10k loss, but the chat during the play was interesting:

IHateJuice: do u always just play 1 table?
Phil Ivey: not always
IHateJuice: but?
Phil Ivey: do u always play limit holdem?
IHateJuice: lhe is way better for multitabling than omaha or nl
IHateJuice: yes
IHateJuice: well right now im learning stud
IHateJuice: sure i wanna play mixed games one day
Phil Ivey: im playing the game you specialize in and it’s not enough?
Phil Ivey: u should thank me everytime i ante up
IHateJuice: u are the biggest winner in LHE history
IHateJuice: by far
IHateJuice: i think ur as specialized there
Phil Ivey: who is better right now?
IHateJuice: i cant tell on that sample. i play ur name
Phil Ivey: i think we both know u are better than me at this game
Phil Ivey: but i play anyway so u should be thankful
Phil Ivey: if u played me horse i would b thankful
IHateJuice: i def will
IHateJuice: will take me a year or two though

It’s unclear if Ivey only wants more action, or is he really admitting that someone is better than him. Although “IHateJuice” has been winning from Ivey earlier, so…

Anyway, “IHateJuice” gets some great recognition from one of the greatest, so it will look really good on his CV if he ever applies some sponsorship deal.
