Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan crossbooks at PCA

Live tournament year of 2010 started with the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA). And of course there’s a huge load of the best players playing the tournament.

Pokerlistings reporter Matthew Showell noticed Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey chatting at Ivey’s table in early Day 1b. Ivey and Dwan made a quick crossbook bet with 50% action. This means that the the winner of the bet will get 50% of the losers possible tournament winnings as well. In a big tournament like PCA, the amount can get as high as $1,5 million.
Dwan and Ivey are used to play a “bit” bigger pots normally, so a $10k buy-in tournament without some proper sidebets isn’t that motivational at all.
