Ziigmund in the Finnish Open

The Finnish Open poker tournament began today in Helsinki. While the tournament is relatively small, some interesting players showed up.

The Finnish Open poker tournament kicked off today with the €1000+€50 PLO event. As expected Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies came to play his favourite game - late of course. It remains to be seen if the €1000 buy-in is significant enough for him to stay focused on the game, or will he answer the call of the Cranberry Vodka.
Field of 100 players
Compared to the international level the amount of players is relatively small. It mainly consists of Finnish poker players that play regularly in the Helsinki Grand Casino.
Johan Storåkers is one of the few internationally renown players that came to compete for the title of the Finnish Omaha Champion. Also Juha Helppi showed up in a bit more relaxed outfit:
An another notable player is Jens “Jeans” Kyllönen, who recently begame the 2nd Finnish EPT-Main Event winner and is writing with Ziigmund and LarsLuzak at Coinflip.com. In addition to him, only Patrik Antonius has succeeded in doing the same.
