“The Great Dane” Hansen has been having a rollercoaster year so far in 2009. After winning huge early this year and being up something around $3 million, Hansen was actually down almost $500k for the year. Well, he found just the right cure for that as he managed to win stunning $889k on Tuesday.
Hansen has been very active player in high stakes games at Full Tilt Poker this year with over 162k hands played. Hansen has actually played more hands than Tom “durrrr” Dwan who has been known for his multitabling and high volume. Dwan has played quite much himself, as he has been dealt just under 149k hands this year.
Another player who has been on fire lately is Brian Hastings, who contrary to Hansen and Dwan has not played much this year. Before yesterday Hastings had played under five thousand hands and was down over million dollars this year. That deficit was yesterday more than cut to half as Hasting dominated the games and evetually left the tables with $596k profit in his pockets.
Also, high stakes regular Justin “Boosted J” Smith has signed a deal with Full Tilt Poker to become new red pro. In the future Smith will be using his own name instead of his well known alias Boosted J. Moreover, If you haven’t noticed, David Benyamine is back in red. Apparently his facing full tilt red pro jinx once again as he is already down almost $800k after moving back ti playing with his own name.
