Jean-Robert Bellande is maybe better known for his stint in hit television show Survivor than at the poker tables, even though he has made almost million dollars in tournament cashes in his career. Still, the Bodog pro just can’t get respect from fellow poker players.

People don’t respect Bellande’s poker skills at all, online pro Jarred Harrington even offered to play heads-up Pot-Limit Omaha against Bellande with him having a fifth hole card! Harrington and Bellande also has history together:
“Jared and I have played a little heads-up on Bodog,” Bellande said.
“He actually challenged me to play PLO heads-up giving me 15 to 20% back, which I absolutely have to take from anybody. I mean, the kid plays pretty good, but I don’t think he’s any kind of favorite to win in that spot.”
Harrington won the online battle and their live match was also going his way, but eventually Bellande wound up winning $20,000. Confident Bellande is sure that Harrington wouldn’t be giving him extra cards in the future.
It didn’t take long for another shark to challenge Bellande, when mixed-game specialist and a Full Tilt pro Chau Giang offered Bellande a 15% rebate on any losses sustained in a $100k buy-in, $1k/$2k H.O.R.S.E. game. Too bad Bellande is broke, so coming up with $100k will be difficult for him.
But that didn’t stop Bellande as he is planning on making a comeback, this time to television, as he is shooting a pilot of his upcoming TV show called Broke and Living like a Millionaire. The show will be focusing on parts of the poker world that you don’t normally see on TV.
Bellande keeps getting new game offers almost every day. Justin “BoostedJ” Smith offered him the button every hand heads-up. A 2+2 user tcorbin16 offered Bellande 50% money-back guarantee for 10,000 hands of four-tabled $25/$50. I think it is unnecessary to mention that Bellande is going to accept both of these offers.
