Ivey made huge profit online at Full Tilt Poker yesterday and also joined the elite club of only few players who have accumulated a stack worth of over million dollars in one table online!

Phil Ivey is finding his groove at the poker tables again!
Games haven’t gone too well for Ivey this year, who most people name as the best overall poker player. His last year’s results also supports the fact that he is the best, but year 2009 has been a rocky one for Ivey so far. However, yesterday he turned the tables completely and the biggest factor was a heads-up match against Tom “durrrr” Dwan.
Ivey and Dwan battled in one of Phil’s signature tables “Ivey Thunderdome” and the match was all about Ivey! Phil won almost all the big hands and eventually Dwan left after this hand, where Ivey flops the nut flush with his pair of aces.
Ivey also won two biggest hand of the session:
Ivey flops all kind of draws and wins a $328k pot with a straight.
The match between Ivey and Dwan is significant also because Phil is next in line to play in the durrrr’s challenge after Patrik Antonius. It now seems like Phil has an upper hand at least when playing one table, but multi-tabling could change a lot. Still, speculating about this is way too early when the Antonius vs. durrrr match has just started and will still run for few months.
With the win yesterday, Ivey jumped to the better side of the leaderboard, with winnings of about half a million dollars in February. Combined with January’s results, he is almost break even. On the other hand, with this huge loss Dwan dropped just about all of his winnings in February and he is again down over $3 million this year.
