As it was rumored, there won’t be any rebuy events in 2009, but one tournament is called “Triple Chance No-Limit Hold’em”. Also, this year there will be many low buy-in tournaments, which can be an outcome of current downturn in the global market.
WSOP 2009 will also feature a $1,000 buy-in “stimulus special” NL Hold’em tournament ,which is anticipated to draw the largest-ever live tournament field excluding the Main Event. It will be held at the opening weekend and for sure will attract a very large field.
