Antonius confirms that he will accept Dwan’s challenge

Tom “durrrr” Dwan issued a million dollar challenge to get some action at poker tables and it looks like he will get some, when at least Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius have said that they will play against Dwan for sure.

Cardplayer magazine interviewed Antonius about the challenge and he said that first he thought that the whole thing was a trap or something because it sounded like too good to be true! Antonius admits that Dwan is one of the best players right now and he wouldn’t necessarily play against him heads-up without this challenge.

Antonius thinks that the whole challenge will take a long time, maybe a couple months. He says that he is a very busy man and travels a lot so they have to really work on the schedule of play with Dwan. Maybe couple hands here and there and then not playing for weeks.

Patrik is quite sure that he wouldn’t quit even if he loses few million early. He thinks that he only would take a little break and then continue when his mindset would be right. The game would propably be PLO, even though Antonius has had great results against Dwan playing NL Hold’em. Maybe they will change the game during the challenge if they want to.

In this video clip Dwan answers some questions about the challenge. He also mentions that maybe Sami “LarsLuzak” Kelopuro will play also against him, but the rumors that David Benyamine will play against Dwan seems to be false:
