Full Tilt Poker has been adding new tables recently and yesterday they added two new Pot Limit Omaha tables called Hansen Knockout and Hurricane Hansen. But it was in the original $500/1000 Omaha table Made for Gus Hansen, Gus Hangout, where Sahamies constructed his massive stack.
In one point Sahamies had over $1.8 million in the table, but he lost few pots and eventually left with a stack of $1,460,000. His total profit in Gus Hangout was about $1,150,000, but he lost some in other big Hansen tables. In the end of the day, Sahamies left the tables with $759k added to his bankroll.

With yesterday’s winnings Ilari can buy few more trips to the sunshine!
Gus Hansen was a very generous host in his tables yesterday, as he lost over million bucks in Pot Limit Omaha tables yesterday! Here is one hand where he finds himself drawing almost dead on the flop with bottom two pait against a top set of Sahamies.
Tom “durrrr” Dwan and Sahamies was involved in many big pots yesterday. Even though they collided often, in the end both of them was at he top of the leaderboard, as Dwan’s total profit was second biggest, $263k. Here is one hand where Sahamies wins with a better kicker (nine!).
Hansen was almost the sole benefactor of PLO games yesterday, as only Di “Urindanger” Dang lost a six-figure amount of money, $203k. Likewise, most of Hansen’s money went to Sahamies and Dwan, Sami “LarsLuzak” Kelopuro was third biggest winner with the winnings of “just” over $100k.
The games have been growing so big lately that a losing or winning day of $100k seems like a play money game compared to sums people have won and lost lately! Games with blinds like $50/$100 don’t seem like high stakes anymore.
I wonder how many players can afford to play in these games if they keep growing. Nevertheless, losing a million in a day must be a devastating loss for all of these players, or they must be playing with a bankroll of hundred millions, which i doubt.
