Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies lost over $1.6 million!

The loss of Sahamies is propably the biggest loss in one day that anyone have ever lost in online poker. Ilari explained to Brian Hastings how he managed to lose so much in table chat:

Life wasn’t a sunshine for Ilari yesterday!

I don’t know how anyone can be so unconcerned about losing $1.6 million in one day! Seems quite odd to me. Maybe Sahamies has sold all or big part of his action to others, that would explain something, but still those number are sick! And I predict that games are just going to get bigger!

The biggest winner on Sunday was Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond who collected winnings of over $660k. Also Di “Urindanger” Dang won over half a million, $513k. Most of the losses of Sahamies went to these two guys in an enormous no limit hold’em sessions, where Sahamies lost about $1.4 million! Another big loser in the no limit tables was elmariachimacho, who dropped $750k.

Here are some of the biggest hands from the no limit sessions:

Tom “durrrr” Dwan cracks aces, a $370k pot.

Galfond check-calls all-in with a set against elmariachimacho, a pot worth of $335k.

Dwan and Sahamies both hit a flush on the river, durrrr collects the pot of $400k.

LarsLuzak flops a set and get maximum value from the tilting Ziigmund, $389k.
