Benyamine plays more than anyone in online poker high stakes. Still, he doesn’t bother if he loses or wins, only thing that matters to him is to make a right decision in a right time. If there was no high stakes database on the internet he couldn’t tell if he had a winning or a losing month.
The 36-year-old Parisian has always been a big game hunter. He entered The Big Game in Bellagio for a first time in 2004, with a minimum buy-in of $40k. When the stakes were $2k/$4k, his stack was way too small and soon he walked away penniless. In later months he took a couple of new shots, losing again.
Then Benyamine took a risk and in a fourth session he had pretty much all of his bankroll on the table, about $300k. This time he emerged victorious and he says that after that he almost never lost.

It could’ve been must worse and bankroll management is something that Benyamine has never learned. He just wants to play high stakes and he never goes down in limits. He doesn’t know if he has won or lost when playing high stakes at Full Tilt Poker. He assumes that he is close to even, although though high stakes database shows that he is up over $4M since the start of the year 2007.
So what is the secret of Benyamine? How can anyone not see the big difference between big pots like $100k or $500k? It turns out that David doesn’t play merely with his own money, as only 1/6 of his bankroll is his own money and other parts are money from his friends. So when he loses a pot worth of $500k, he actually only loses $80k of his own money! Still, his friends might not be that calm.
Playing the online poker has some downsides and one is a lack of exercise, that has started to show in the body of Benyamine. David sees his problems and is starting to better his life outside of poker. He thinks that he needs to provide his fiancé Erica Schoenberg a good life, something that he can’t do when in a bad shape. So from now on his main goal is to get back in shape.
