Poker After Dark rumors: Season 5 will be awesome!

Looks like that boys from the Cardrunners are going to play in one show, not sure in what format they will be playing, sit & go or a cash game.

Daniel Negreanu also revealed in his blog some of the line-up he has been playing with:

Oct 29th: I’ll be playing in the $20k buy in Poker After Dark show against Phil Ivey, Doyle Brunson, Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson, and Phil Hellmuth.

Oct 30th: Once again I’ll be playing on Poker After Dark only this time it will be under the cash game format against the likes of: Phil Ivey, Patrik Antonius, Tom Dwan, Gus Hansen, and Phil Hellmuth.

Oct 31st: My last Poker After Dark shoot along with Johnny Chan, Jennifer Tilly, Mike Matusow, Phil Laak, plus one amateur.

The line-up of the show on 30th of October looks quite spectacular! Just imagine how much Phil Helmuth is going to tilt when he’ll play with these guys, who all are way better than him in a cash game of no limit hold’em. I’m expecting some serious swearing by Hellmuth if (or when) he loses a big hand!

Still, for all the shows on the Poker After Dark of the coming season, this might be the one that most of the people are looking forward to:

Finally producers have awaken that Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies is a popular poker figure and a fearless competitor. He may not speak perfect English, but his actions speak louder than his words. This table should be packed with action if Sahamies, Antonius, Ivey and Dwan (and maybe even Elezra) are really in mood for some serious gambling. Expect that Howard Lederer will be a distant figure in this table!
