Poker pros really bet about anything, check out these prop bets!

We all know that the Bellagio is home of  famous fountains and the legendary high stakes poker room, Bobby’s room. It also hosts one of the most prestigious events on the WPT circuit, the Bellagio Cup. The star studded field included Gavin Smith, Phil Laak, John Phan and Hevad Khan. These four players were involved in some outrageous prop bets:

Smith vs. Laak - $500

They decided to have a bet on whether Gavin Smith could fit 15 marshmallows in his mouth and close his lips within 180 seconds! After a slow start Gavin easily squeezed in all 15 marshmallows and took $500 of Phil (picture).

Phan vs. Khan - $600

With Bob Stupak’s chip stack on life support on the bubble, Khan bet $600 that he would make it past. With the blinds coming around, Bob was forced all in, ironically it was Khan who eliminated Stupak, guaranteeing himself a $19k payday, so he probably wasn’t too bothered about the $600!

I suppose it must be boring for these guys just to play poker. Still, it has to have been fun to see Gavin Smith stuck his mouth full of marshmallows.
