The six players that are in this weeks episodes are:
In the seat 1 is Patrik Antonius, Finnish pro from Vantaa, who is widely recognized as one of the most talented online cash game player. Also he has a lifetime tournament winnings in excess of $2.83 million. He is a member team Full Tilt and plays regularly in all the biggest cash games in the world.
Seat 2 is reserved for Dee Tiller, a poker amateur from Texas. When he is not playing poker he works as an oil and gas service provider to major oil companies such as Conoco and BP throughout the United States. He plays poker about 3 times a week and usually $100/$200 or $200/$400 cash game, so he is used to six figure swings.
In the Seat number 3 there is The Professor himself, one of the founding member of Team Full Tilt, Howard Lederer. Lederer is well known poker analyst and very respected poker player. He has also tournament winnings almost $5 million. He is also known for his commentary of the poker shows.
In the 4th seat will be playing the living legend, Texas-Dolly, Doyle Brunson. At the age of 75 he is still playing strong and is widely recognized as the greatest poker player of all time. He is second in all time WSOP bracelets with ten wins. The books of Brunson called Super System one and two are maybe the most influental poker books ever made.
In the seat 5 there is a famous actor, poker commentator and player, Gabe Kaplan, who starred in the 70’s sitcom Welcome Back Kotter. In the poker world he is better known as a funny commentator of the High Stakes Poker television show. He is also very good poker player, with career tournament winnings in excess of $1.34 million.
The last player of the pack is Eli Elezra, a regular in the big game at the Bellagio and succesful businessman. He has also played in several episodes of the High Stakes Poker and is known for his active style. Even with lifetime tournament winnings of over $1.8 million, he still thinks poker is more like hobby to him and do not consider himself as a professional poker player.
The first edition of the Poker After Dark cash game was really interesting and I’m sure that with this group of players, the game will be even more intriguing. The blinds of the game is $200 and $400, a minimun buyin is $100k and maximum $250k. Hopefully players add antes and straddles in the game so the pots grow even larger.
