Slaktarn is one of the Swedens brightest new poker star and the winner of the pot limit omaha heads up world championship at Full Tilt Poker this summer. Before the EPT Barcelona he was approached by a man, who claimed to be a journalist of the American poker magazine Card Player and wanted to do an interview about him. As a gift for this exclusive interview, the journalist offered slaktarn a brand new laptop and Swede agreed to do the interview.

He signed a deal via msn and received some files he couldn’t open. The new laptop arrived and he waited the journalist to get back to him, but nothing happened. He thought that he might ask what’s the thing about the interview from the Card Player and for his suprise they told him that they don’t know who “slaktarn” is and they aren’t doing any interview about him!
After that he contacted the police so that they could investigate his computer and the files he couldn’t open. Slaktarn says that he feels unpleasent about the whole thing. He checked the name of the journalist and it was a name of a Card Player writer, but apparently he wasn’t who he claimed to be. He never used the laptop he received as a gift.
Still, it is quite odd that a high stakes poker player agree an interview via msn and receives some files that he doesn’t know anything about. I’m sure that “slaktarn” will be more careful after this incident and doesn’t make so naive mistakes again.
