Jorgensen started the final table as a chip leader and after 7 hours of playing he ended up as the owner of all chips and a brand new WSOPE bracelet. He now became second danish player to win a bracelet in the 2008 WSOPE presented by Betfair Poker.
The heads up against fellow pro Sorel Mizzi saw Jorgensen in a brink of defeat on a hand where both players were all in at the flop, Mizzi having Jorgensen covered. The flop was AJ4, Jorgensen holding a hand AQj6 against Mizzis 2345. The turn card came to be 3 and Mizzi was one card away of being the champion, but the river gave Jorgensen an ace, one his only 4 outs to win the pot and stay alive!

The final hand saw Mizzi go all in with a flush draw and a gutshot against Jorgensens top set. In the end, Jorgensens hand held and he was crowned the new £5k WSOPE champion! He also earned the first prize of £218,626. The second place finish was worth of £132,000 for Mizzi.
The last tournament of the WSOPE 2008 is the £10k main event, starting today.
