Johnny Chans pokerroom buried!

Altought being a great two time WSOP Main Event-champion and one of the most successful poker players ever, Johnny Chan has failed at his Chan Poker-business.

-Maybe it was the awful t-shirts and hats that ended Johnnys business?

The online pokerroom Chan Poker started at the year 2006 - and is closing tomorrow. The site no longer accepts deposits and all the withdrawals will be processed as soon as possible:

“We are sad to inform you that Chan Poker will be ceasing operation effective this Thursday, August 21, 2008. Effective immediately we will no longer be accepting deposits. On August 21 our poker clients will be disabled.”

“For those that wish to continue playing online poker, know that we are actively seeking a partner to provide a new home that will honor your player point balances. We will keep you informed of developments on this front.”

This show the level of competition at the online market - the big names won’t be enough. Johnny Chan ends up like Pamela Andersson, who also tried to get her own pokerroom running.

But maybe this is a good thing for railbirds?

We would love to see Johnny now sit in with other big names at Full Tilt Pokers or PokerStars big tables! Maybe even he will join their teams and start promoting the biggest pokerrooms in the world.

Better luck next time Johnny!
