Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond is one of the biggest online winners this year - now he was back in action with few interesting sessions.
OMGClayAiken vs. slaktarn
The action took a while to get going, but “slaktarn” was being aggressive as usual picking up a lot of small pots. Phil Galfond took down the first big pot of the match when he rivered a backdoor flush only to be paid off by his opponent:

Slaktarn then added on around $70k, which meant both players were sitting with around $80k a piece. It didn’t take long before he took that off his Swedish opponent as well!
Phil 4-bet his opponent preflop with AJK3 doublesuited and was rewarded when the turn brought him top two pair! It turned out that Slaktarn was betting the turn with a middle pair and doublee gutshot straight draw (while Phil also had the same A-5 gutshot straight draw):

Then things turned around and “slaktarn” began to dominate his opponent by winning nearly all the $20k+ pots - 4 or 5 of them were won after the river was dealt. The board was flushing, but was also paired. Phil Galfond folded to every one of those bets and soon his opponent was in front with a $44k in profit! What a turnaround!
OMGClayAiken vs. stevesbets
During the PLO-action the player known at “stevesbets” offered Phil Galfond a heads-up NLH match as he was fed of being outdrawn after his money went in as the favourite. OMGClayAiken accepted and they both sat down at table Vasari to battle it out.
Both players were playing very solid until one particular hand occurred:
Stevesbets standard raised with J7 of clubs from the button and Phil 3-bet him with A10-offsuit, Steve calls. The flop came down 372-rainbow and Phil bet around three quarter pot, only to see “stevesbets” to raise him all in! Phil decides to call only with the two overcards and sees the bad news:

Both players returned in the early hours of the morning to play some PLO heads up. Phil left the table after a few hours with a ~$200k stack!
