One of the nine finalists for the World Series of Pokers final table is David “Chino” Rheem. He is by far the most well known player from his previous tournament success - but he has made the headlines by being a so called “bad guy”.

Here is a quote from one of his interviews:
“Well, if the other eight people at the table are reading this, I’m just going to get piss drunk every night from now until the final table. I’m not going to plan or think at all. I’m just going to raise every pot without looking.”
And here is some info about his past:
The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reported David “Chino” Rheem has been “convicted of dealing in stolen property and burglary, both felonies, as well as larceny and possession of marijuana, court records indicate. Rheem was sentenced to four months jail time and 30 months probation” eight years ago.
The article also said Rheem “failed to appear in court on a 2003 misdemeanor trespassing charge in Hollywood, Florida according to state criminal records, leading to a court order for his arrest. The warrant for his arrest remains active.”
Ugly if Rheem was arrested at the final table, an accomplished player who survived the field of 6,844 players.
Rheem has more than $600,000 in career tournament winnings, including a runner-up finish to Allen Cunningham in a 2006 no-limit hold’em rebuys event:
He was fifth in this year’s mixed hold’em event and also cashed in the 2005 main event.
We’ll have to see how this situation goes … Maybe there will be more action at the final table than we think!
