WSOP: Main Event - $9,119,517 for the winner

The first days (1a,1b,1c and 1d) of the World Series of Pokers Main Event gathered a huge group of 6844 players for the $10.000 buy-in tournament. Many big names have already hit the rail but there are still many left competing for the title - including this years WSOP:s player of the year Erick Lindgren and the $50.000 H.O.R.S.E. winner Scotty Nguyen.
The fan favourites Phil Ivey and Daniel Negreanu busted out early - maybe they will hit the golf courses?

Only the Main Event from 2006 has been bigger (with 8773 players). Jamie Gold managed to beat the field and earn the biggest ever tournament prize of $12 million dollars.
Today there will be no games and the tournament will continue on tuesday with the survivors from 1a and 1b playing the day 2a.
