Full Tilt Pro Mike “The Mouth” Matusow had a wild ride in the WSOP 2-7 Draw tournament. In the final table he was almost run over by Barry Greenstein and Jeffrey Lissandro - but he managed to fight with his short stack and finally win the whole tournament and a paycheck worth of $537.862.

Mike was seeingly moved by his victory and he was thanking all of his fans and telling a bit about his feelings:
“I don’t know much about this game, but I know no-limit. If I continue to play like I played this week, it’s gonna be a real good World Series.”
In the post tournament interviews he was very happy about the fact that the tournament had all the best in the world playing and he managed to play almost perfectly throughout the tournament. He talked about his play and tells that he made one crucial mistake against Lissandro where he lost most of his chips in the top3. Luckily the dinner break came right after that hand and Mike had some time to cool down.
Change in Mike?
Mikes behavior had also changed quite much - he seemed calm and relaxed, thinking more and not “mouthing”.. what has happened to him?
He said that he has changed his way of thinking for the last couple of months and for example bought books about positive thinking - now he says he is more positive than ever! Now he always tries to find positive sides to things and believes more in winning - earlier he always tought about the worst possible scenarios.. and that he would always lose.
So with his weight loss (check out the bet here) and positive behaviour we might see a completely new Mikey!
