An update from the WSOP and a video from “The Mouth”

We have been partying for more than 2 days now, and the field have been narrowed down in both event #1 and event #2. In the first event we have a very interesting final table coming up! Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius told earlier that this year he will focus on the tournaments 100% and plans to win a bracelet - looking quite good since he made the final table already in the first tournament.. altought he is the short stack going into the final table.

In the PLH $10.000 buy-in event we have Andy Bloch up in front, with 2.1 million in chips. Sitting in the final table with him are great players like Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius, Phil “Unabomber” Laak and our beloved commentary guy Mike Sexton. Not to forget Kathy Liebert, Nenad Medic, Chris Bell, Mike Sowers and Amit Makhija.
Seeing Mike up in the top gambling for this title really made me smile, I mean, come on guys. Who doesnt want to see this guy to win a bracelet? Beating up the guys he normally just praises for their good play.
I will keep my fingers crossed for Mike right here.
On the second event, we haven’t narrowed the field that much, but up in front here is David Robertson followed tightly by Ryan D’ Angelo and Frank Siwopoli. We have already seen players like Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu and The “magician” Antonio Esfandiari leaving this $1.500 buy-in NLH event.
Not going too good for my favourite this far…
When going thru the schedule for the WSOP of 2008, I cant stop thinking about the prestige in this years Event #50 PLO with $10,000 buy-in. I mean, since the games on internet has been really going hot on the PLO tables this event feels a little bit more prestigeous. My personal favourite for this event would be Brian Hastings or maybe David Benyamine.
Speaking of something different I would like to go back to the “Main event final table issue”. I found a great video of Mike “The mouth” Matusow sharing his opinions on this one. This is a must to see, so I just had to share it with you. What can be better than to hear Mikey yell into your ears?
