From time to time we see new people rising to the highest limits - some of them getting beaten badly some of them starting to be the hot new names of the game. Who even knew Niki Jedlicka before he entered Full Tilts biggest games and won $2.000.000 in a very short period?

Here is one name that could be “the Next Big Name”:

Erich Kollman

-Erich Kollman sitting with Hendon Mobs Barny Boatman.

Erich Kollmann is a fearless high stakes gambler who loves action. Although he’s been playing poker for over 20 years it wasn’t until 2005 that he left his career at BMW to pursue poker full time. He has cashed in numerous major events including 3 Aussie millions cashes and a cash in the WSOP$1.5k NLH where he finished 17th out of ~1000 participants.

He says that the main reasons for choosing poker are “the character of the game, the action, and the excitement”.

When Erich is not chasing extreme action outdoors you can find him destroying the $10/20, $25/50 and even the $50/100 Full Tilt Pokers PL Omaha tables. The average railbird will not know a thing about him, but be sure to watch when you’re on.

His play varies depending on the limits that he’s playing. At the lower limits ($10/20) he plays very loose and aggressive; some would even say a maniac. He loves the action and takes part in about 70% of pots.

By watching him play you can find countless examples of excellent play and reading skills. Things like re-raising player out of the pot to get he pot played heads-up with some mediocre hands.

His playing style shows how his great gut instinct, with some creative aggression can win a lot of money! After watching Erich for a couple of weeks I realized that re-raising wasn’t an unusual play for him. He will often raise the pot on the turn on a pure bluff.

Erich will often build up stacks of over 5 times the maximum buy in. As he moves higher up the limits he starts to tighten up and plays a more solid game, but still builds massive stacks, around $10-15k at the $10/20 up to around $50k at the $50/100 tables.

If you are looking to watch action tables then just scroll a bit further down the Full Tilt lobby. It’s well worth it!
